One day I will own a kantha quilt…or five
I’m a quilt kind of girl. I even sleep with them in summer when others have swapped to light sheets and when I’m travelling if I don’t have a quilt as part of my bedding I get very, very upset. But quilts aren’t just necessary in my book for a good night’s sleep; decorative kantha quilts like these ones made in India are an instant home decor style statement. Combining bold, vibrant colours, patterns and prints and hand stitching all within one textile piece is a feat of crafting genius.
I’ve seen kantha quilts for sale in India and Bangladesh at at various interior shops in the UK but they’re also available online via Rebecca’s Aix Home and at her London store where they’re not too pricey, around the £100 mark is actually pretty decent.
Now to get saving up…
